Gampe
David LaChapelle began his career photographing for Andy Warhol's Interview magazine before developing a hypercolor, surrealistic approach to celebrity and fashion photography indebted to religious painting as much as to advertising. He photographed Michael Jackson, Elton John, Madonna, and hundreds of other celebrities through the 1990s and 2000s. He later shifted toward large-scale fine art work examining American religion and consumer culture.
