Eve Arnold joined Magnum Photos in 1951 and became its first American woman member. She photographed Marilyn Monroe over more than a decade, producing work that ranges from early studio sessions to the final days on the set of The Misfits (1961). She also photographed in the Soviet Union, China, and throughout the American South during the civil rights era.
