Patrick Demarchelier

Known for: fashion photography for Vogue and Harper's Bazaar; official photographer to the British Royal Family

Patrick Demarchelier moved to New York in 1975 and became one of the most sought-after fashion photographers of the following decades, shooting for Harper's Bazaar, Vogue, and major advertising campaigns. Princess Diana named him her personal photographer in 1989 and later appointed him official photographer to the British Royal Family. He collaborated closely with Karl Lagerfeld on campaigns for Chanel over many years.
