Paweł Pawlikowski left Poland as a teenager and made documentary films in England for the BBC before returning to Polish subjects in his late features. Ida (2013) - a black-and-white film about a young nun discovering her Jewish origins in 1960s Poland - won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. Cold War (2018), a love story spanning two decades of postwar Polish history, won him Best Director at Cannes.

The ALEXA XT, introduced in 2013, added in-camera ARRIRAW recording via the XR Module, internal ND filtration, and a native 4:3 Super 35 sensor to the ALEXA platform. It supports ARRIRAW capture up to 120 fps onto XR Capture Drives and includes integrated CDL capture and anamorphic de-squeeze.

Product description

The ALEXA Plus, introduced in 2011, added integrated wireless remote control, the ARRI Lens Data System (LDS), lens synchronization for 3D, and built-in position and motion sensors to the original ALEXA platform. In 2012 it was upgraded with a 4:3 sensor for anamorphic cinematography.
