Lisa Yuskavage is an American painter born in Philadelphia in 1962. She studied at the Tyler School of Art at Temple University and Yale School of Art. Her figurative oil paintings combine exaggerated, sexualized female forms with sophisticated color and Renaissance-era techniques such as sfumato, imprimatura, and cangiantismo. Her work has been exhibited at the Whitney Museum, MoMA, and the Institute of Contemporary Art Philadelphia.
