Robert D. Yeoman, ASC is an American cinematographer born in Erie, Pennsylvania and raised in the northern suburbs of Chicago. He broke into features as a second-unit DP on William Friedkin's To Live and Die in L.A. (1985) and won the Independent Spirit Award for Best Cinematography for Gus Van Sant's Drugstore Cowboy (1989). He is best known for his three-decade collaboration with Wes Anderson, having shot every one of Anderson's live-action films from Bottle Rocket (1996) through Asteroid City (2023). His work on The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014) earned him Academy Award and BAFTA nominations for Best Cinematography.
